Level 1 Award in Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF) 

The Level 1 Award in Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF) focuses on the importance of maintaining health and safety and ensuring that employee actions reduce risks in the workplace. It is intended for learners working in any workplace environment, including Retail, Manufacturing, Food premises and the Care environment. It is also suitable for those who are returning to work or starting work for the first time. 

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF) 

The aim of the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic Health and Safety practices that are essential in the workplace. This includes the hazards and risks presented in the workplace along with the relevant legislation, and ensures awareness of cost-effective, practical control methods. 

The qualification is applicable for any private or public sector working environment and provides employees with an awareness of their own safety, as well as the safety of customers, contractors and members of the public.

Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment  (RQF) 

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require employers to conduct suitable and sufficient risk assessments. The Level 2 Certificate in Risk Assessment course provides formal recognition of an individual’s ability to undertake such a risk assessment in line with the Health and Safety Executive’s Five Steps to Risk Assessment. This course is a nationally recognised, transferable qualification based on the national occupational standards. This award allows employers to get more of their staff properly qualified to carry out risk assessments, helping them to meet their legal obligations.

Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF) 

This qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility to conduct risk assessments at low risk premises. It covers the principles of risk assessment, the relationship between hazard and risk and requires learner’s carry out their knowledge learned on the course by undertaking a risk assessment. Therefore laying a foundation for further development as a risk assessor.

Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and  Handling (QRF) 

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to provide employees with suitable and sufficient information and training to carry out manual handling tasks safely so as to avoid the risk of injury, so far as is reasonably practicable. The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling provides formal recognition in line with the Health and Safety Executive’s guidance of an individual’s ability to undertake a manual handling task and assess weather safe moving is possible.
